The Sisters in Jeevan Jyothi Hospice, India have been busy...



Palliative care:
Between July-September, 179 patients were admitted to the hospice, among them 18 palliative care patients.


Rainbow Camp: 
Rainbow campaign for children suffering from HIV was conducted at RTU.  Two children from home based care attended this camp along with children from different villages. Resource personnel were from YRG Centre at Chennai.


Life Skills Training
Life Skills training was given to students from four different schools, with over 180 pupils attending the different workshops. An awareness programme on HIV/AIDS, child marriage, child abuse, health, hygiene and nutrition was conducted for each of the four schools.

Medical Camp: 
Medical camp was arranged at Cumbum for  PLWHA. Medicines and nutritional support was distributed for 57 patients. The success of the medical camp goes to our field staff who arranged and organized this programme. The nutritional support was given by well-wisher from Cumbum and medicines from Jeevan Jyothi Hospice.
