International Nano Nagle Commission Concludes Their Meeting

Back

26/08/2019

The Nano Nagle Commission has now finished its days together: days of inspiration, passion and hope. On Friday, 23 August 2019, they visited the Castleisland Presentation Secondary School, where Katherina is Principal, and they were inspired by the visible Presentation symbols throughout the school.

They were introduced to the Ethos Wall – http://presentationcastleisland.ie/ethos/ – developed by the pupils and the wall hanging was done by first year students depicting their engagement with Presentation: the handprints around the Presentation Cross are very moving  http://presentationcastleisland.ie/welcoming-ceremony-first-years-families/

On their way back to Cork they stopped into Killarney to experience some of what Kerry has to offer.

Now they have come to an end of this time and Margaret is on her way back to India, Veronica is on retreat in Nano Nagle Place and Grace and Katherina are back to school. It has been a graced week for them, connecting with many inspiring people who have been only too happy to work with them and of course to be situated in this hallowed place where our beloved Nano did such wonderful work. If they were not inspired there, they would not be inspired anywhere!

Now, they appeal to the Presentation family across the world: they are seeking stories of Nano’s work across the world today, big or small, to demonstrate that her message and her example is as relevant today as it was in her lifetime. They ask that you send them to nanonaglecommission@pbvm.org Video clips would be most acceptable.
