Launch of Tercentenary Year Celebrations in Zambia

In the Garden of Oneness in Zambia, forty children and a few adults gathered together on the morning of 24 December to launch the Tercentenary Year of the birth of Nano Nagle. It was a joyful celebration of the little girl gifted with the light. The children were asked who the Nano of today was, to which they replied “Ki Luna”, meaning “we are the ones”.

With the help of their elders they learned a new song which they sang with great pride.

We are walking in the light of Nano

We are dancing in the light of Nano

We are praying in the light of Nano

We are praising in the light of Nano.

The children planted a Rosewood tree and the elders planted a Jacaranda tree in the part of the Garden which the children look after.

They prayed for all children of the world, children of all beings, the homeless, the sick, the hungry and thirsty, the trafficked, the child soldiers, the orphans, the child labourers, those who have no school and all of the children in their own community.
